Bryan Johnson
Twenty years experience as Volunteer, Assistant, and Head Coaching positions for competitive high school, USA Volleyball and AAU Club teams in Southeast Kentucky. A successful track record of developing talent at elementary, junior high, and high school levels. Actively involved in assisting volleyball athletes making transition into college volleyball programs. Actively involved in assisting coaches become involved in Club and School programs that promote and create a positive atmosphere for players to develop positive role modelling while furthering the sport I love.
· Coached three area KHSAA high school volleyball teams into seven District Championships, two Regional Championship Runners Up, and two Regional Championships with two State Championship appearances.
· Coached one KCAA high school volleyball team into Regional Championship, KY State Tournament Championship and KY State Tournament Qualifier
· KHSAA Volleyball Official in 13th Region since 2005, including Bluegrass State Games in 2007-2008. Member National Federation of High School Officials Association
· Southeast Kentucky Volleyball Hall of Fame Inductee – November 21, 2009
· KHSAA Region 13 Coach of the Year - 2018
· Co-Founded Horizon Volleyball Club program for Southeast Kentucky youth. This program draws volleyball athletes from East, Southeast and South-central Kentucky Teams travel to within Kentucky, Tennessee, Georgia, and North Carolina and Florida to play in tournaments.
· Coached USA Volleyball 18U, 17U, 16U, and 15U teams – Horizon Volleyball Club since its inception with tournament Championships in Asheville, NC, Chattanooga, TN, Knoxville, TN, Nashville, TN, Lexington, KY. Runner Ups in Gatlinburg, TN, Asheville, NC, Chattanooga, TN, Knoxville, TN, Johnson City, TN.
· Began playing volleyball in 1982 in area leagues and tournaments.
· Began playing competitively in statewide sand, grass, and hardwood tournaments 1991.
· Gold Medalist in Quads B Division Bluegrass Games in 2008, Gold Medalist in Quads C Division Bluegrass Games in 2006. Men’s 6’s champions Somersport Tournament, Co-ed 6’s Nibroc Champions X3, Co-ed 6’s World Chicken Festival Champions X5
· Organized and conducted area recreational tournaments for Nibroc Festival, World Chicken Festival, Big Splash Tournaments
· Member of USA Volleyball (IMPACT Certification since 2007)
